Course description
The course provides PhD students with a broad holistic knowledge of the Arctic and how the Arctic systems affected by ongoing climate change, including possible feedbacks to climate system.
Lectures and seminars will take an earth system perspective and cover: Arctic marine environment, Arctic atmosphere, Arctic cryosphere, Arctic terrestial ecology and climate modelling.
For each topic, the course will provide background knowledge of the system, observed and expected changes in the light of a changig climate and also knowledge of how these systems interact and affect each other.
